Concept
Petals―花びらを意味するこのタイトルには、
一つひとつの思い出や記憶の欠片を重ね合わせ、大切な存在の魅力を改めて見つめたいという想いを込めました。
この展示では、ペットとそのご家族が共に過ごした時間の中から生まれた写真や思い出の品々を集め、
一枚のフォトコラージュ作品として再構成しています。
何気ない日常、特別な出来事、ふとした仕草や表情。
そのどれもが、かけがえのない記憶の花びらです。
作品の中に散りばめられた小さな発見を楽しみながら、
それぞれの物語を辿っていただけたら嬉しく思います。
そして、この展示が皆さまにとっても、
大切な人や愛する存在との思い出を振り返り、改めてその愛おしさに気づくきっかけになれば幸いです。
The title “Petals” symbolizes the fragments of memories that come together to form something whole. Through these layered moments, I hope to invite viewers to rediscover the beauty of those they hold dear.
This exhibition features photo collage artworks created from photographs and treasured keepsakes shared by pets and the families who love them. Each piece brings together the memories of a life lived side by side.
Quiet everyday moments, special occasions, fleeting gestures, and familiar expressions — each one is a precious petal of memory.
As you explore the small details woven throughout each artwork, I hope you'll enjoy discovering the stories they hold.
Above all, I hope this exhibition encourages you to reflect on your own cherished memories and reminds you of the love you share with the people and companions who mean the most to you.

大阪を拠点に活動するフォトコラージュアーティスト兼フォトグラファーの Nao Hokimotoです。
バラバラだった思い出が、一枚の作品の中で新しい物語になる。その瞬間が、私はたまらなく好きです。
「あ、この写真ここに使われてる！」「こんなこともあったなあ」 これまで作品を通していただいた、そんな言葉の一つひとつが、私の活動の原点になっています。
今回のPetalsは、私にとって初めての個展です。
大切な思い出を、一枚の作品の中にギュッと閉じ込めました。
観てくださる方の心の中でも、ふと誰かの顔が浮かんだり、懐かしい記憶の花びらが舞ったりしたら、これ以上嬉しいことはありません。
会期中はできる限り在廊しています。ぜひお気軽に声をかけてください。 お会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
I am Nao Hokimoto, a photo collage artist and photographer based in Osaka.
I absolutely love the moment when separate memories become a new story within a single piece of artwork.
"Oh, this photo is used here!" or "I remember when that happened."
Every single comment like this that I have received through my work serves as the foundation for my activities.
This exhibition, Petals, is my first solo exhibition.
I have captured precious memories and packed them tightly into each piece.
I would be overjoyed if, in the hearts of those who view my work, someone's face suddenly comes to mind or if the petals of nostalgic memories start to dance.
I will be at the gallery as much as possible during the exhibition. Please feel free to come and talk to me. I look forward to meeting you.
